For a booked attraction, choose your destination inside Dubai Mall before choosing a parking area or taxi stop. At the Top, the Aquarium and the fountain use different levels and arrival points. A map pin for the mall alone leaves the last part of the journey unfinished.

Use the Metro if your starting point suits the Red Line and your group is comfortable with the connecting walk. Choose a taxi or ride-hailing car if reducing that walk matters more. Drive when the car is useful for the rest of your day, after checking both the parking zone and likely length of stay.

Where to go for your attraction

Burj Khalifa and At the Top

Head to At the Top on Lower Ground, inside Dubai Mall. The mall's attraction listing identifies P1 Fashion Parking; the attraction itself also lists parking in the Fashion Avenue car park. These are useful arrival references, rather than a guarantee of an available space or the shortest route from every bay.

Show your driver the attraction name and booking instructions. Navigating to the tower's exterior or hotel entrance can leave you in the wrong place for observation-deck admission. Once inside the mall, follow At the Top signs and your voucher's reporting instructions.

For the difference between observation experiences, use our Dubai observation decks guide.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

The Aquarium Tunnel is on Ground Level; the Underwater Zoo is on Level 2. The mall directory lists the combined attraction on Second Floor and points drivers to P2 Grand Parking. That upstairs listing does not mean the tunnel has moved upstairs.

Check where your particular experience asks you to report, especially for an animal encounter or additional activity. Our Dubai Aquarium guide explains the free tank view and paid areas.

Dubai Fountain

For the lakeside promenade, follow signs towards Dubai Fountain and the Lower Ground exits. Emaar identifies access via Lower Ground or the promenade beside Burj Lake.

A Boardwalk booking and a Lake Ride booking can have different reporting or ticket-collection instructions. Follow the meeting point on your booking rather than treating any spot beside the lake as check-in. See our Dubai Fountain guide for the viewing options.

Metro or taxi

By Metro: use Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall, R25, on the Red Line. Follow the mall link; it connects with Level 2 near Fashion Catwalk. Reaching the station is only the start of the final walk, and reaching Level 2 is not the same as reaching At the Top on Lower Ground.

Choose this route when you want to avoid driving and parking. Leave room in your plan for the bridge, movement through the mall and any change of level. Check your journey on the RTA Metro map, including the return trip.

By taxi or ride-hailing car: choose an identified arrival point and keep the attraction instructions handy. Road traffic and the walk inside still count towards your journey. A car may reduce the station-to-mall walk, but it cannot deliver you to every attraction entrance.

Taxi and ride-hailing meeting points

The mall currently lists P3 Zabeel Parking for regular taxi pickup and drop-off.

For Careem and Uber, its published pickup points are:

  • Lower Ground near DU
  • P3 Cinema Parking, outside The Village
  • P4 Fashion Lobby, Fashion Avenue Expansion
  • P3 Zabeel Parking Taxi Stand

Its published drop-off points are P1 Fashion Parking Main Lobby, Chinatown Main Entrance and P3 Zabeel Parking Taxi Stand. Pickup and drop-off lists differ, so do not assume your driver can collect you where you arrived.

Use the point shown for your ride in the app and confirm its level before requesting the car. Mall signs and staff can help reconcile the app's label with the entrance name. The official mall map is a better reference than an undated saved floor plan.

Which parking areas charge

Grand, Cinema and Fashion Parking use the mall's paid-parking system. Zabeel and Fountain Views Parking are currently complimentary. A free parking area may still leave you with a substantial route to your attraction; compare it with your group's walking needs rather than choosing by price alone.

These rules apply to the named Dubai Mall areas. Do not transfer them to a nearby hotel's parking, Souk Al Bahar or another Downtown car park.

Paid parking rates

The following bands were checked on 5 October 2026. The mall's parking terms describe them as flat charges for the applicable duration band, rather than amounts to add together each hour.

Published duration bandMonday–ThursdayFriday–Sunday
0–4 hoursFreeFree
4–5 hoursAED 20Free
5–6 hoursAED 60Free
6–7 hoursAED 80AED 80
7–8 hoursAED 100AED 100
More than 8 hoursAED 200AED 200
More than 12 hoursAED 500AED 500
Daily, 24 hoursAED 1,000AED 1,000

For example, an uninterrupted 5½-hour Tuesday stay falls in the AED 60 band. The same length of stay on Friday falls within the free period. A 6½-hour stay costs AED 80 on either day. These examples assume ordinary self-parking without an exemption.

Public holidays do not automatically make the paid zones free. Set your own reminder: the mall does not offer an SMS warning when the free period is about to end.

Payment and parking validation

Paid parking is deducted automatically from the vehicle's Salik account. The mall requires an activated Salik tag and account with sufficient balance. An unpaid parking transaction remains pending until the account is topped up.

With a rental car, ask the rental company how it bills mall parking and whether it adds an administration charge. Do this before the visit; the parking tariff cannot tell you what your rental agreement will charge.

Shopping and dining receipts do not extend the free period. The mall's parking FAQ rejects purchase-receipt validation. A Burj Khalifa, Aquarium or fountain ticket should not be treated as parking credit unless that exact offer expressly includes it. There is no general attraction-ticket parking entitlement in the mall rules checked for this guide.

Valet users pay the valet charge without an additional ordinary parking fee under the published terms. Check the valet price before handing over the car.

Accessibility and a manageable walk

RTA lists lifts to all Metro station levels and wheelchair spaces on trains. Dubai Mall offers wheelchair and stroller services through its concierge, subject to its terms. For the current lift route from your arrival point, ask the concierge rather than relying on a generic walking route.

At the Top says its experience is wheelchair accessible, while strollers must be stored near the entrance. Allow for that handover if you are arriving with a child asleep in a buggy.

Parking exemption is a separate question. The mall extends it to vehicles already exempt from Salik, including qualifying People of Determination vehicles. Do not assume a visitor's disability card or a wheelchair alone registers the vehicle for exemption.

Frequently asked questions

Can I leave and return to restart free parking

The current terms say re-entry within 90 minutes does not qualify for another free allowance. Re-entry after 90 minutes is treated as a new entry. Do not plan around the exact boundary; follow the current terms and your recorded transactions.

Can I leave the car overnight

The daily tariff is not an overnight-parking permission. The mall warns that long stays can lead to action by the relevant authorities. Ask the mall about a planned extended stay instead of treating the daily price as a storage rate.

How early should I reach Dubai Mall for a timed ticket

Work backwards from the reporting time on your voucher, then add the journey inside the mall. Parking, locating the entrance, bag storage and admission procedures are separate steps. There is no reliable single walking time that fits every parking bay, arrival point and visitor.
